The European Researchers’ Night targets the general public, addressing and attracting people regardless of the level of their scientific background and it is the occasion for a Europe-wide public and media event for the promotion of research careers. Marmolada mountain (Dolomites) glacier collapse

On Sunday 3 July 2022, a large chunk of glacier broke loose on the Marmolada: according to Cnr researchers, the event was due to the long-term anomalous conditions of above-average temperatures, and accelerated by the exceptional wave of heat coming from North Africa which fits into the context of global warming.
