Digital plant phenotyping platform.

The Institute of Biosciences and Bioresources of the National Research Council (IBBR-CNR) hosted a training course at ALSIA - Centro Ricerche Metapontum Agrobios, on a high-throughput and digital plant phenotyping platform. The course aimed at introducing the emerging field of mechanized plant phenotyping. The platform uses imaging methodologies to collect data for complex studies related to plant growth, yield and adaptation to biotic or abiotic stresses. The course has been attended by almost 40 researchers and technicians involved in conservation and management of natural, agricultural and forest resources, including basic research. The course has be pleased to rely on international speakers, as well as specialized personnel from ALSIA-Agrobios, who are pioneers in high throughput phenotyping research.
