Gaia Daldanise (Institute for Research on Innovation and Services for Development - Cnr-Iriss Researcher and Scientific Secretary of RETE) and Benedetta Ettorre (Cnr-Iriss Associate, PhD Uni Vanvitelli, RETE), will participate as moderators and discussants in the various sessions and in the final debate of the event.

Gaia Daldanise (Institute for Research on Innovation and Services for Development - Cnr-Iriss Researcher and Scientific Secretary of RETE) and Benedetta Ettorre (Cnr-Iriss Associate, PhD Uni Vanvitelli, RETE), will participate as moderators and discussants in the sessions and the final debate.

Third and last of the three co-design and co-creation events planned for 2023 and 2024 organised within the EU-funded research project PULSE, the international seminar is based on the debate and exchange between different disciplines and between academia and institutional bodies on the topic of extended port cluster territories. In particular, the event aims to reflect on strategies and approaches, implemented or being implemented, for the contemporary design of extended port cluster spaces.

The event will be structured in 5 thematic sections aimed at sharing the project main results and activities. Specifically, Section 4, including the presentation of contributions selected through the PULSE Call for Contributions (CforC) "The Port-Cluster Landscape: New Words, New Maps, New Strategies", will be the occasion to present the theme, methodology and expected outcomes of the selected works.

The 15 contributions will be presented in 3 sessions moderated by Host Institution professors who will take part in the closing debate with experts discussants.

On Oct. 3rd, two keynote speeches will be delivered by José Sanchez (Director of Agenda 2030, AIVP) presenting the main challengesof sustainable port cities and the 46 measures for action developed by the Association, and by Jeffrey S. Nesbit (Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University) focusing on the infrastrcutural urbanization and the rise of technical lands.

Winner of the Young Researchers Call, the project PULSE - The Port-clUster LandScapE: Developing a Spatial and Design Approach to Port Clusters has received funding from the Italian Ministry of University and Research, as part of the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NNRP) within the Next Generation EU Recovery Package and is directed by Beatrice Moretti (PhD, Assistant Professor UniGe) as Principal Investigator and carried out at the DAD of UniGe as Host Institution.
