Abstract
Resistance to glyphosate is evolving in Italy and mainly affect perennial crops. However, the first European (and one of the few worldwide not from GMO crops) glyphosate resistant populations infesting arable crops and multiple resistant to ALS or ACCase inhibitors were characterised.
Object of the Trial: Characterization of glyphosate resistance biotypes
Conyza sensitivity analysis: robust evaluation of glyphosate efficacy and its variability in 20 Conyza spp. populations from throughout Italy. Temperature effect of glyphosate efficacy is investigated by repeating the experiment in spring and autumn.
Resistance testing in selected populations coming from farmers' complaints on poor glyphosate efficacy.
