Abstract
The purpose for which the funds provided by FAO under this Agreement shall be used are the following: Objective. The Services will contribute to the following Organizational objective SO2: Make agriculture, forestry and fisheries more productive and sustainable. (i) Outputs. The Service Provider will produce, achieve or deliver the following outputs: - specifically achieve operational requirements for the ASFA Virtual Research Environment (VRE) to enable creation, storage, search and export of ASFA records in terms of up-time, user management and accessibility. The VRE includes: a) VRE management service, (b) Workspace service, (c) Messaging service, (d) Social networking service, (e) Notification service, (f) Catalogue service (g) Gateway service, (h) OpenASFA application; - deliver indexed content for internal (D4Science) and external (FAO and ProQuest) catalogues and search engines through the workspace.
